Dive into Paper Wars- a fun and colorful bullet hell from the perspective of a young imaginative boy who would rather fight the imaginary creatures in his notebook than do his math homework (we've all been there). Grab your marker and eraser and head into battle against the devious Lord Scribblebottom and his minions; you're our last line of defense! But beware- every action comes with a consequence. 

Paper Wars is a short and fun game made by game designer Tommy and game artist Cameron for the fifth edition of the Bullet Hell Jam, as an easy-going project to get back into game development nearly a year after graduation. The game features a simple but attractive art style and straightforward mechanics which come together into fast and intuitive gameplay, backed by exciting and fitting background music.

The theme of this year's Bullet Hell Jam, "consequences", shows in the power-ups the player can pick up; the more hits your shield can take, the more of Lord Scribblebottom's minions will come after you, and the more ammo you have the less safety you can find along the walls of the playground, with spikes blocking your way. Use this knowledge and the resources provided to you wisely!
